Call Block MP3 Ringtone Edition (V1.00 ~ V1.53) FAQ

Q: My Treo 650 hanged and mp3 ringtone stopped ringing when receiving an incoming call. How do I resolve the issue?

A: Your mp3 file is not compatible with your mp3 decoder. Call Block uses your Treo’s built-in mp3 decoder for mp3 ringtone playback and the decoder capability supplied by every Treo model is different. Please use the “Play” function in Select Tone screen to test the mp3 playback. Some corrupted or incompatible mp3 file may hang/stop playing halfway.

Solution: Please choose another compatible mp3 file as the caller ringtone.

Q: Why it takes approximately half a minute for the incoming call screen to show up when I use Call Block’s “Precise Number Matching” method?

A: “Precise Number Matching” method will slow down the performance of your phone tremendously when you have more than 200 Contacts records and running many third party ‘background’ utility programs. In most instances, you should use “Standard Number Matching” method only unless the standard method does not correctly identify incoming calls.

Q: I recently upgraded my phone from Treo 650 to Treo 680, but Call Block does not function properly after I HotSync my existing applications and data to my new Treo. What is the problem?

A: Treo 680 uses Palm’s new Phone Application Version 3.0 and the Call Block configuration was setup for Phone Application Version 1.0 when you installed Call Block on your Treo 650. Hence, the old configuration setting is not compatible with Treo 680. You MUST uninstall Call Block from your Treo 680, and reinstall Call Block again to have the configuration setting initialized for the new Phone Application Version 3.0.

Q: Can I downgrade my existing Call Block application to version 1.34?

A: Downgrade of Call Block application is not officially supported. However, if you plan to use previous versions of Call Block, you MUST uninstall the existing copy of Call Block from your Treo before applying the previous versions. Failure to do so may result in unexpected phone resets.
